  • Speaker: James Buchanan, GM, Edge Cloud, ADVA
  • Topic: User applications on edge cloud
  • When: Wednesday, October 14, 12:05 p.m. CEST

Universal CPE (uCPE) brings the benefits of the cloud to the edge of the network, including openness and software-centric services. Now operators are moving beyond basic managed services like SD-WAN and firewall to providing end users with the ability to run their own applications on the same uCPE infrastructure as communications services. Now, a single compact server can power all of the compute and communications applications for a small office, simplifying the IT infrastructure and enabling rapid turn-up of new sites.

In this session, James Buchanan will explain how uCPE enables service providers to benefit from being able to offer differentiated and sticky services. He’ll also outline how it empowers end users to deploy applications with high demands for low-latency and security, creating a true win-win situation. Register for the event beginning October 12.
