Sander Jansen explores latest DCI developments and challenges in OFC short course
Session to cover OLS technologies, disaggregation of the optical layer, encryption, standardization and future architectures
- Speakers: Sander Jansen, director, product line management, ADVA; Dirk van den Borne, director, IP-optical architecture, Juniper Networks
- Topics: High-capacity data center interconnects
- When: Monday, March 4, 9 a.m.
- Where: OFC, The Optical Networking and Communication Conference & Exhibition, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA
This beginner-level course gives a broad overview of data center interconnect (DCI) architectures and technology, ranging from short-haul interconnects of just a few kilometers across a campus network, to metro and finally long-haul deployments. It will cover the latest optical technology developments and how these are used to build ever denser, more power efficient, higher capacity and more scalable data center interconnect links.
Sander L. Jansen is joined at this OFC event by co-instructor Dirk van den Borne, Juniper Networks. The short course is intended for engineers, researchers and technical managers with a comprehensive knowledge in the field of fiber-optic transmission systems.
