  • Where: OFC, The Optical Networking and Communication Conference & Exhibition, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA

Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are emerging at different levels within optical networks. But how much benefit do we expect in terms of quality of transmission estimation? Can AI effectively boost the way today’s networks are managed towards fully automated operations, or should we expect only minor improvements in localized management tools?

These questions and more will be tackled in a series of short presentations followed by a panel discussion.
