SDN NFV World Congress panel to discuss the future of zero touch

Ulrich Kohn and other industry experts will debate automation of management, orchestration and optimization

  • Panel: Ulrich Kohn, director, technical marketing, ADVA; Marton Sabli, head of solution and service readiness, Ericsson; Ari Banerjee, VP, marketing and strategy, NEC/Netcracker; Brian Naughton, CTO, Accanto Systems; Bart Vanbrabant, CTO, Inmanta; Patrick Kelly (moderator), founder and principle analyst, Appledore Research
  • Topics: Automation panel: Zero touch
  • When: Tuesday, October 9, 5:20 p.m.
  • Where: SDN NFV World Congress, World Forum, The Hague, Netherlands

The fact that the software-defined and function-virtualized network has become mainstream means the door is now open for change in OSS. The key questions regarding zero touch are: Do we need analytics and algorithms to automate intelligent machine learning before we can do zero touch? Can “black boxes” work without ongoing intelligent inputs – and for which problems? Do we need analytics, expert systems, and open loop tools? What can we learn from the experience of self-organizing networks, which have been stalled by a closed-loop automation approach to complex RF spectrum optimization?

Ulrich Kohn joins the automation forum panel to discuss these issues and share ADVA’s insights into enabling effortless service activation through zero touch provisioning at the network edge.
