Early deployments of SD-WAN are generating both opportunities and challenges. But for all of its benefits, will SD-WAN be able to live up to its potential? Important questions surround its evolution: is it important for VNFs in SD-WAN to be interoperable, or even substitutable? Should SD-WAN solutions be delivered as pure software loads on any hardware, or are they better as a bundle? How aware does an SD-WAN solution need to be of its underlying transport network? These and other SD-WAN deployments considerations will be the focus of this panel debate.
