Prayson Pate joins NFV & Carrier SDN panel to discuss packet acceleration solutions
Debate to focus on transformation to enable full network virtualization in service provider infrastructure
- Panel: Prayson Pate, CTO, Ensemble division, ADVA; James Feger, general manager, service providers, F5 Networks; Larry Horner, solution architect, Intel
- Topics: Packet acceleration for CoSP workloads
- When: Monday, September 24, 3.45 p.m.
- Where: NFV & Carrier SDN: Automation & Monetization conference, Westin Westminster, Denver, Colorado, USA
For over half a decade, the telecommunications industry has been working towards the transformation of networks from purpose-built systems to those built around a virtualized compute, network and storage foundation. Many lessons have been learned but, as we take the snapshot of the state of the art, one thing has become very clear: the service provider workload is not the cloud workload. To maximize the transformation effort, resources are still needed that will provide accelerated packet processing for these unique workloads.
Prayson Pate is joined on the panel by James Feger, general manager, service providers, F5 Networks, and moderator Larry Horner, solution architect, Intel to discuss solutions that will enable faster packet processing, offering a smoother transition on the road to full network virtualization.
