ADVA presents SDN-integrated framework for cognitive fault diagnosis at OFC
Danish Rafique will discuss real-world use cases for analytics-driven fiber assurance architecture
- Speaker: Danish Rafique, senior innovation manager, ADVA
- Topics: Analytics-driven fault discovery and diagnosis for cognitive root cause analysis
- When: Wednesday, March 14, 6 p.m.
- Where: OFC, San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, USA
Network disruptions are typically caused by underlying faults with equipment, optical transmission lines, etc., where the behavior of individual entities contribute to overall network behavior. The principal challenge in such a complex interactive environment is not only to detect singular faults but also to be able to isolate and pinpoint the source of a failure.
In this presentation, Danish Rafique, will discuss how an SDN-based analytics-enabled fault discovery and diagnosis architecture, capable of proactively detecting and localizing potential faults as well as determining the likely root cause can be implemented. The approach, which proactively identifies the cause of autonomously detected optical power level anomalies, will be evaluated with real-life use cases.
