Recent research in Heavy Reading shows that the majority of telecommunication companies are starting to implement their NFV strategies. In order to make this happen, the NFVI platform that will be responsible for running virtualized network functions must be able to sufficiently support production workloads.
However, concerns about performance, scale and management still persist. This session will discuss the work that has been done to date to deliver a stable NFVI, including that of the Open Platform for NFV (OPNFV) project. Panelists will debate the capabilities of contemporary technology and how to apply it going forward.
