Some of the biggest names in global technology, such as Google and Facebook, have invested heavily in data centers across the Nordic region. This boom has been fueled by low operational costs such as cheap and renewable energy as well as government grants, low electricity rates and tech-savvy locals. In his presentation at Datacenter Forum, Dieter Will explains how smaller Nordic data centers can use their size and location to their advantage.
Dieter will look at how a tailored package and better back-up architecture for mission-critical data can help fend off competition from bigger data centers. He will also demonstrate how disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities, such as synchronous data mirroring, actually make smaller data centers a better choice than their larger counterparts. And he covers other key elements like Tier 3 or Tier 4 data center services in a twin data center architecture, including bundling a unique connectivity solution for highly secure, low-latency data transport from meet-me rooms to hosting locations.
