ADVA Optical Networking’s global market share in the metro ICP/CNP DCI space has more than doubled and its number one position here reflects how strongly its technology resonates with customers and the industry.
ADVA Optical Networking’s DCI technology has been the focal point of the industry for many years. The recently introduced FSP 3000 CloudConnect™ is widely recognized as the most scalable, open and energy efficient DCI solution on the market. It’s one of the few DCI technologies to feature a 400Gbit/s single line card and deliver 51.2Tbit/s of total throughput at 1.4Tbit/s per rack unit. The FSP 3000 CloudConnect™ is also the market’s only true open line system. What’s more, it transports 2Tbit/s of duplex traffic at less than 1 kilowatt. That’s less than half a watt per Gbit/s. The recent expansion of the FSP 3000 CloudConnect™ with the ADVA MicroMux™, which supports legacy 10 and 40Gbit/s clients with no loss in density or throughput, is a further example of the company’s continued DCI innovation.
“ADVA Optical Networking has built an enviable position in the DCI market. Their team and their technology have continually outperformed expectations to deliver impressive results,” commented Ian Redpath, principal analyst, Ovum. “The company’s sales in 2016 are a clear indication of this success, especially its record second quarter. Its global market share in the metro ICP/CNP DCI space has more than doubled and its number one position here reflects how strongly its technology and its value proposition resonates with customers and the industry. This is no small achievement when you consider how hotly contested the DCI marketplace is and will continue to be for some time to come.
