Disaggregated optical systems
Open transport, switching and routing
The need for scalable, flexible DCI infrastructure has never been greater. At ADVA, we believe this can be achieved through avoiding vendor lock-in and enabling choice of best-of-breed hardware and software. As part of our commitment to open ecosystems, we drove Voyager through the Telecom Infra Project’s (TIP) Open Optical Packet Transport (OOPT) group. This completely open and disaggregated packet optical solution reduces cost and complexity and takes flexibility and choice to new levels.
Small footprint
The Voyager packet optical terminal combines optical transport with packet switching and routing in one extremely compact device.

The Voyager platform ensures a faster time to market and a lower barrier of entry for new technologies.
Leading the voyage
ADVA was the first vendor to publicly commit to commercial support of Voyager.

Enhanced efficiency and availability
Voyager combines DWDM technology with switching and routing functionality. By unbundling hardware and software, each component can advance independently and deliver more bandwidth at lower cost. Leveraging state-of-the-art open packet optical technology, the Voyager platform ensures a faster time to market and a lower barrier of entry for new technologies, helping customers rapidly transition to a more open and connected world.
Rapid innovation
Built on the Voyager system, ADVA’s offering presents customers with a turnkey approach to developing packet optical networks.

Meeting specific demands
As well as a white box terminal and its operating system, the ADVA offering provides a full open line system with Ensemble Controller ensuring comprehensive network management. What’s more, wrapped around this is our complete range of à la carte services, including installation, commissioning, maintenance and monitoring, for a turnkey solution that delivers ultimate simplicity and ease of use.
