Software-defined optics

The hyperscale era

With the proliferation of ever-more sophisticated applications and the fierce growth in mobility, communication, cloud and content service providers require high-speed optical solutions in their networks and the flexibility to use them to the full. They need to move from static, manual operations to an intelligent and programmable optical layer dynamically operated from a central control system. With agility, openness and software-defined management, service providers can nimbly adapt networking resources and address changing business needs in real time.

Network disaggregation

The ADVA FSP 3000 CloudConnect™ for market-leading flexibility and simplicity in an open world.
We want to give operators endless freedom to adjust modulation formats and adapt to changing capacity and distance needs.

Leveraging the siliconization of optics

High-speed optical transport solutions that add seamless scalability to DCI networks.

Intelligent DCI

Our transport technology utilizes the most advanced high-speed coherent optics, enabling higher-density systems with total flexibility, while simultaneously improving network performance. With our CloudConnect™ data center interconnect (DCI) platform, service providers can harness unbeatable choice, scale and flexibility. It uses software-defined optics to deliver flexible data rates and modulation. This means the network can intelligently scale from 100Gbit/s to 400Gbit/s to 1Tbit/s and from QPSK to 64 QAM or even application-optimized modulation schemes as required, all triggered by software.

Beyond maximum reach and capacity

Overcoming flexibility impairments for a wide range of traffic from central offices and data centers within a metro area.

Journey to terabit

With our innovation, we're continually pushing the boundaries of possibility. That's why we're optimizing the interface with software, bringing unprecedented efficiency, particularly to metro networks. We want to give operators endless freedom to adjust modulation formats and adapt to changing capacity and distance needs. What's more, we're also leveraging new technology set to reach and break the 1Tbit/s mark.
